I think he forgot the step where the devs send the game with horrible glitches, 10gb day one patches, microtransactions, potato game servers and a load of other things that make us go "Did i really just spend 50€ for this?". You forgot the part where the companies do everything in their power to make the initial material look awesome and also as non representative of their finished product as possible without inviting lawsuits for false advertisement. Oh and the thing where modern games overwhelmingly SUCK ASS... I mean sure even back when good games only came out every 2 to 4 years but at least they came out and where so good you could play them for years or in the case of certain single player games so good that you didn't mind playing them every 2 years. There is almost nothing of the sort since 2010ish ... so ...yeah ...thanks for your opinion but maybe don't hope for positive responses.

True. It happened to Mass Effect Andromeda and No Man's Sky. That's why you shouldn't overhype. Mass Effect Andromeda is one of my favorite games, I'm so sad that all the hate caused them to put the Mass Effect franchise on ice indefinitely.

I learned it at my first hype. I am not hyped, i wait at least a week before buying a game. I learned that i test the game under 2 hours as "extended" demo as it is. Not configuring. Just testing. If its good, i keep it. If i dont like it, i give it back. I dont buy "super mega, uber hyper, extra thic deouble monsterlicious early bird with worm super feature early edition" If they decide to make a money-wall, i only buy at 75% off. If someone tries to fuck me over 1 time, they have to release, from my perspective, 2 good games in a row and show a better behaviour towards the community. If they do, i am back and buy their games eventually. Thats why i still dont buy and play any Electronic Arts Published Games. And believe me, i would really love to play Fifa. Command & Conquer (So many Childhood Memories!) and more. But i cant be bought, i have a strong will and i stand up to all my doktrines i have.
